Overview

This workshop explores how we can use different forms of art and our individual sense of creativity to support our wellbeing. It provides an introduction to various creative and arts based activities that individuals can use and benefit from in their lives. Information is provided on the links between creative activities and how they enable us to express and make sense of our experiences and feelings. Opportunities will be given within the workshop to try out different creative activities.

Learning outcomes

By the end of the session, attendees will be expected to:

  • Have gained an understanding in the potential benefits of using creative activities for supporting wellbeing
  • Become familiar with different ways that an individual’s sense of creativity can be engaged with and expressed
  • Develop knowledge around the links between positive mental health and creative processes
  • Experience and try out varied creative activities
